Archiving Policy

Transformative Law Review is committed to ensuring the long-term preservation, accessibility, and integrity of all published scholarly content. The journal maintains a digital archiving and preservation policy to safeguard published articles, article metadata, issue information, PDF files, and other relevant publication materials.

The journal supports digital preservation through OJS-based archiving, institutional backup, and compatible preservation networks such as LOCKSS (Lots of Copies Keep Stuff Safe) where available and enabled.

Archiving Coverage

The journal’s archiving policy covers all published articles, abstracts, keywords, article metadata, PDF files, issue tables of contents, and other publication-related files where applicable. These materials are preserved to ensure that scholarly content remains accessible for readers, authors, researchers, and indexing services.

OJS-Based Archiving

The journal uses the Online Journal System (OJS) platform to manage, publish, and archive journal content. Published articles and issue metadata are stored within the journal’s OJS platform to support continuous access, discoverability, and long-term management of the scholarly record.

Institutional Backup

In addition to OJS-based archiving, the journal supports institutional backup through the digital infrastructure of Pakungwati Institute for Social Transformation and Justice by Yayasan Pawiyatan Pakungwati Cirebon. This backup mechanism is intended to reduce the risk of data loss caused by technical failure, server disruption, accidental deletion, cyber incidents, or other unexpected events.

LOCKSS-Compatible Preservation

The journal recognizes the importance of distributed digital preservation systems such as LOCKSS (Lots of Copies Keep Stuff Safe). LOCKSS is designed to preserve scholarly content by allowing multiple verified copies to be maintained across participating institutions. Where available and enabled, the journal supports compatible preservation mechanisms to strengthen long-term access and content recovery.

Access Continuity

In the event that the journal website becomes temporarily unavailable, experiences technical disruption, or the journal ceases publication in the future, archived content will be preserved through available OJS-based archiving, institutional backup systems, and other compatible preservation mechanisms used by the journal. This policy is intended to support continued access to the scholarly record whenever possible.
