An Invitation to Research Libraries

Research librarians and information professionals are encouraged to include the Journal of Transformative Islamic Law (JTIL) in their institutions’ electronic journal collections, discovery services, library catalogues, subject guides, and open-access resource directories. Listing JTIL helps students, lecturers, researchers, legal practitioners, and policymakers discover current scholarship in Islamic law and related legal studies.

Open Journal Systems
Open-source infrastructure for scholarly publishing

JTIL is managed using Open Journal Systems (OJS) , an open-source journal management and publishing platform developed by the Public Knowledge Project. OJS supports the complete scholarly publishing workflow, including manuscript submission, peer review, editing, production, publication, indexing, and digital archiving.

Academic and research libraries may also consider hosting OJS for faculty members, research centres, scholarly associations, or editorial teams involved in managing academic journals. The platform provides institutions with a sustainable and flexible infrastructure for developing independent, professional, and open-access publications.

By listing, cataloguing, preserving, and promoting JTIL, libraries contribute directly to the wider circulation of open scholarly knowledge and support the development of accessible, responsible, and internationally connected Islamic legal scholarship.
